The
New England Pro-Am Hockey League conducted its' Third Annual
Junior Chowder Cup July 6-9, 2006 at both the Foxboro Sports Center
in Foxboro, Ma as well as Iorio Arena in Walpole, Massachusetts.
All teams will be guaranteed three games in their bracket with each
game consisting of two 25 minute stop-time periods. The winners of
each bracket advance to the playoff rounds on Sunday. Each playoff
game will consist of one (1) thirty-minute stop-time period. All
games will be officiated by members of Hockey East and the ECACHL
and a Certified Trainer will be present for all games on each rink
at all times.
Cost for the tournament will be $1700 US.

495 STARS
ENTER 2006 JUNIOR CHOWDER CUP
Jim Geraghty,
coach of the 495 Stars, has entered his
team into the 2006 Junior Chowder Cup. The Stars, year
after year have consistently been one of the best teams in
the New England Area.
Junior Bruins Return to Jr. Chowder Cup Chris Masters, Coach of the Junior Bruins, has
announced the return of his Junior Bruins Gold and
Junior Bruins Black teams to the 2006 Junior Chowder Cup.
Laughlin
Enters Tournaments
Craig Laughlin,
Head
Coach/GM of Network Hockey in Maryland,
has entered his teams in the 2006 Junior Chowder Cup as
well as the 23rd
rendition of the John Cunniff Chowder Cup next August here
in Boston.
Besides his duties with Network Hockey, Craig also acts as
the
Lead Television Analyst for Comcast Sportsnet for
the Washington Capitals.
NECDL
Enters Jr. Chowder Cup Ted
Anastos, General Manager of NECDL, has
entered his team into the 2006 Junior Chowder
Cup. NECDL was one of the stronger teams in
the 2005 Tournament and we look for more of
the same this year.
McKim
Returns to Boston
Andrew McKim,
who formerly played for the Boston Bruins,
has announced that he will be entering his XTreme
Hockey
team into the 2006 Junior Chowder Cup. McKim, who
many years ago played in the Chowder Cup with the
Atlantic Canadians, is anxious to showcase his
Newfoundland squad.
