Cont. from front page.....
Kevin Abrams, President of the CCHL, Central Canada Hockey League, will send 8 teams to the Junior Chowder Cup and 8 teams to the Senor Chowder Cup this coming July here in Boston. There will be 4 teams in the '97 Division of the Junior Chowder and 4 teams in the '98 Division of the Junior Chowder Cup. Pembroke, Brockville, Smith Falls
Kanata, Kempville, Nepean
Cornwall, Hawkesbury, Cumberland
Glouster, Ottawa, Carleton Place
This is a very exciting time for this College Eligible League to be sending their players to Boston to be seen by as many College and Pro Scouts as possible. They will also add a total plus to the Chowder Cup Tournaments as they will provide the competition that teams look for when they enter the Junior and Senior Chowder Cups each July.
PLEASE NOTE: That although players are coming from the CCHL, the league in no way is an "official" sponsor of the Chowder Cup Teams. The players, almost all who will be playing in the CCHL next Fall, are paying their own personal fees to come to Boston and participate in the tournament.
